He makes us strong with His strength

Today's readings: Zechariah 10:1-11:17, Revelation 18:1-24, Psalm 146:1-10, Proverbs 30:33

"By my strength I will make my people strong," God says in today's reading.

I don't know about you, but I get tired. Not just physically... I get tired deep down inside. I don't just need sleep... I need rest.

God is the BEST at giving us that rest that we need. He MAKES us lie down in green pastures, by still waters, to restore our souls. And when it comes time to get things done... well, the Bible tells us in many ways how He helps us.

His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

The joy of the LORD is our strength.

And, today, "By my strength I will make my people strong."

If we tap into Him, like a branch into a vine, we draw strength from Him and can do whatever we need to. If we get cut off from Him, our strength dries up fast.

God, please help me stay plugged into You, as I need Your strength every day.
