exiled

Today's readings: Joel 1:1-3:21, Revelation 1:1-20, Psalm 128:1-6, Proverbs 29:18

We read about deprivation today. In the OT, so many locusts! They come and destroy everything, and everyone is hungry. Then in the NT, poor John is banished to Patmos. He's alone, away from the other disciples.

But God responds to both needs. He sends food to the people in Joel. He visits John Himself, giving him a look at what's coming in the future.

When we find ourselves in need, we can trust God to meet us where we are, and to meet our needs.

Thank You, God, for hearing our prayers before we ask.

He is always available it's us who move away, or get "too busy" to stay in communication with Him
