but you....

Today's readings: Micah 5:1-7:20, Revelation 7:1-17, Psalm 135:1-21, Proverbs 30:5-6

"But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah..."

We're waiting in advent for our savior to appear. He is coming to Bethlehem. Had He been in Bethlehem before? Yes, God is everywhere. But He was coming in a new way, to show Himself to His people differently than ever before. Was Bethlehem ready for Him? I don't think it was.

Our savior is coming into your life this Christmas season too. Is He in your life already? Of course He is. But He's coming to us in a new way, to manifest His love in our lives differently than before. His mercies are NEW every morning, not day old bread from yesterday. Are you ready?

I know I've got some stable cleaning to do.

God, thank You for coming into our lives. Please help us to do good, love mercy, and walk humbly with You.
