arguments

Today's readings: Jer 44:24-47:7, 2 Tim 2:22-3:17, Psalm 94:1-23, Prov 26:6-8

Paul gives us good advice today. See the guys in the pic above? They're both convinced they're right. And they ARE! But they're both convinced that the other person is wrong. And in that, they're both wrong.

This is not to say that there is no right or wrong. There are absolutely absolutes. And knowing them is very important for happy and healthy living..

But what happens next is what is important in the pic above. If they gently point out what they're seeing, they might come to realize the truth of their situation... seeing the object from the other person's POV.... and learning something in the process.

OR, they could get mad at each other, call each other names, and discount each other's POV based on their political party or race or age or whatever factor. And in the end, they will both lose out. Because they're only seeing part of the picture.

Let's be patient and learn from each other.

Thank You, God, for giving us depth perception from one another's viewpoints.
