remain in me

today's readings: 2 Sam 9:1-11:27, John 15:1-27, Psalm 119:49-64, Proverbs 16:1-3

so today, Jesus tells us about remaining in Him. many of the things that Jesus said are difficult to understand... and He did that deliberately, so that only those close to Him would know what He was saying.

so what do we do when we come across a verse and don't know what it means? how do i do that?

well, the cool thing is that we can just ask. we try to make it way too hard sometimes... we think we have to figure it all out. but He wants to help us. of course He wants us to remain in Him, so that we will grow and not wither up and die. so if we ask Him to help us remain in Him, He will.

if we ask Him to do the things He calls us to, He'll give us the desire to do it.. and He'll help us do it.

the important thing is to ask. when you wonder what you should do? ask. that's why He tells us to pray without ceasing. spend time with Him, and ask. He'll help you do the rest.

God, please help me do your will, even when I don't understand it.

Well said again. I'm hung up in the OT, David David David, God has called you to be King and has given you everything, victories over everyone who comes against you, including Saul, you are given the City of David, Jerusalem; and what did you decide to do? Sin against God, adultery has it's consequences, and then David plotted the murder of Bathsheba's husband. During this time in David's life do you think he was in communion with God........hummmmmm sounds familiar huh.
Lord help me to realize that You are aware of what I am doing, I can't hide my sins from You, so help me to return to You, repent, and do the will of God in my life.
