no, Lord

today's readings: Exodus 29:1-30:10, Matt 26:14-46, Psalm 31:19-24, Proverbs 8:14-26

so we see Jesus beginning the institution of the Lord's Supper, or the Eucharist. very beautiful and an amazing and wonderful gift.

the thing that stood out to me was when Jesus tells Peter that he will deny Him. Peter vehemently says "No! I will never deny you!"

what if he had listened to Him? what if, instead of saying "no" to Jesus, he had believed Him? what if he had said "Lord, I love You and I don't want to deny You. how can I not?" would we have had a different story?

well, as Aslan says, you're never told what would have been. but we can find out what happens when WE say yes to Jesus.

LORD, whatever you have for me, I say yes.

How often a day do we say no to the Lord? God wants us to be in contact with Him at all times, not just a couple times a day when we pray. Lord help me to be in contact with you each and every day and if I say no then zap me or something like that!
