yethhhh mathhhterrr...

i saw a really entertaining movie last night. its cast included john cleese, eddie izzard, john cusack, steve buscemi, christian slater, molly shannon, and sean hayes. i found it very clever and amusing.
.
the story was pretty well done, i thought. john cusack brings warmth and genuineness to the title role.
.
my favorite character was scamper, the rabbit (shown in the pic above) voiced by steve buscemi. i don't want to go into any details that might spoil it for you, but there is a certain trait that scamper has that works as a very entertaining running gag throughout the movie.
.
eva (you'll see) is interesting as a VERY dynamic (as opposed to static) character that has you guessing several times which way she (and therefore the film) is going to go.
.
it's not necessary to see this on the big screen. while there IS one joke that only works on the big screen (it literally won't be funny at all on a tv screen), 99% of the film would be just as entertaining at home, and maybe more so as you could back up some of the funnier scenes to view them again.
.
i was planning to see "burn after reading" last night, but i read the wrong time for the wrong theater, and showed up 20 mins late for burn. so we went to see "igor" instead.
.
it was probably not as good as burn would have been. but we weren't disappointed.
