traitor

so i just went to see this last weekend. it was really good! i was surprised how good it was.

it was ALOT more faith friendly than i was expecting. and of course the acting was extremely good by both guy pearce and don cheadle.

the story was not as convoluted as i was anticipating, which was a relief. sometimes you get in the middle of a movie about double crossings and traitors and triple agents and you start asking 'ok... who's on which side again?'

with this one, it was clear. it was pretty brutal in places, but nothing that was shocking.

i like how it explored (a little) the idea of faith, and genuine people of faith doing things because they believe in God and not because of ulterior motives. the main character is muslim, and is genuine in his faith. it was refreshing to see someone like that.

all in all, i enjoyed it quite alot.
