Today we read from the One Year Bible in these verses:

Let's look at Jeremiah. This is a dark moment in the history of Israel. After being warned through many prophets that they're going to be taken captive by Babylon, they finally experience the siege and the captivity. The King of Israel watches as his sons are cut down by the sword, and then his eyes are put out and he's led away to Babylon as a slave.
There are warnings today, too. Many countries in the world today are being warned that they need to repent and seek God or they're going to be destroyed. Let's pray they listen.
God, thanks for giving us warnings. Help us listen.
