Today we read about St Mary Domenica Mozzarello in the book In Caelo et in Terra. She was a very devout young woman who was also very practical!
One of the first things she did in the order where she was accepted to live a religious calling was to teach the other girls how to sew! This was very useful for them in a war-torn Italy. She worked with St John Bosco in teaching and caring for young girls who came from extreme poverty. She spent her entire life loving Jesus by being His hands and feet in giving practical help to those in need.
What PRACTICAL thing can you do today to help someone who needs Jesus?
You can read more about her here.
God, thanks for this young lady who taught us how to help the poor in ways that make their lives better. St Mary Domenica Mozzarello, pray for us.
