Today in the book In Caelo et in Terra, we read about St Mary Elizabeth Hesselblad. She was raised Lutheran, and was distraught at all the confusion in the various churches she saw around her. She asked God to show her the truth. He answered that prayer.
She was in a city where they were having a Corpus Christi parade, and since she wasn't Catholic, she refrained from participating. But then she heard a voice.... THE voice... say to her heart, "I am the One you seek." She very shortly after became Catholic.
She discovered the Brigittines, founded by St Brigitte, and revived that ancient order. Then she worked to save many Jewish people from the holocaust. There are people needing help who are seeking relief from the horrors of their home countries today. What can we do to help them?

God, thanks for the example of Mary Elizabeth, who sought You until she found You, and then helped those in desperate need. St Mary Elizabeth Hesselblad, pray for us.
