Today we read from Micah 5:1-7:20 in the One Year Bible. And we read a very appropriate story for this time of year. Micah is telling us about Bethlehem Ephrathah, from which will come a "ruler of Israel" who will bring peace to the world.

That same ruler of Israel stands ready to bring peace to you today. If you listen in the stillness of the night, you might even see a star like the one that led the wise men to Jesus 2000 years ago. If you watch the sky like they did, you might hear His still, small voice whispering His peace that passes all understanding into your ear.
