eyes to see

Today in the One Year Bible, Ezekiel tells us that the people of Israel were hard headed and would not listen to what God was telling them. They were ignoring the warnings and basically doing what the Australians in the picture above are literally doing... burying their heads in the sand.

It's weird when you see something that is SO OBVIOUSLY happening right in front of you and everyone, but so many people are oblivious to it, right? I think we can all relate to that sensation when it comes to the US election right now. It's amazing how colored our perceptions can be when we allow ourselves to be led astray.

So let's ask God to get our heads out of the sand. No one sees the world EXACTLY how it is except God, right? We are all biased, we all have our preferences, we all have blind spots. Let's be patient with one another, kind toward those we disagree with, and keep our heads out of the sand. Who knows what God might show us.

God, thanks for teaching us to see what You're showing us each day.
