He has surrounded us with beauty. Every day, the sun rises and sets in glory. He whirls the clouds in abstract art all across the canvas of the sky for us to look up and admire. He paints in so many hues of green that it seems impossible the woods can be so deep and beautiful.
Like Donald Miller tells us in the picture above, we should turn off the TV (or the internet) and go outside and appreciate the gifts He's given us. Taste the foods He's made for our enjoyment. Feel the wind on our skin and the water around our ankles. He gives us so many sense to experience them with - far more than the five that we somehow started thinking along the way. Hunger, thirst, and balance are three of the 14-20 senses that we have, depending on how we define each one.
So let's be grateful for the beauty He's given us, and the senses He created us with. There is so much beauty around us for just two eyes to see, as Rich Mullins says. But everywhere we go, we're looking.
Thank You, God, for giving us so many beautiful gifts.
