Today we read from Joshua 21:1-22:20 in the One Year Bible. We are told that all of the lands that God promised to the Israelites were given to them, just as He promised. And we find that recurring theme throughout the Bible. God keeping His word and fulfilling His promises.
We know that He always keeps His word. That He can forever be trusted. That He will not (and CAN not) fail us. So what promises do we have from Him?
He will never leave us nor forsake us. If we follow Him, He will bring us to eternal life. If we honor our father and mother, He will make our lives go well, and give us long lives. He loves us and will take care of us, both in this life and in the life to come.
So trust Him. Don't be afraid. God has everything under control: your life, your family, your health, your finances, your career. Trust Him, seek His will, and He will open the doors for you. He will provide for your needs. He will take care of you.
God, thanks for always keeping Your promises.
