Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Numbers 19:1-20:29. God is giving Moses some instructions on purification and quarantining for the purposes of holiness.
But you'll notice that the quarantines also apply to disease. And the truths expressed in these admonitions are still true today.
It's a popular fallacy today to think that truth from yesteryear is old fashioned and therefore not true anymore. That something might be true for 50 years ago but not for today.
It's important for us to realize that things don't stop being true. If it's true now, it was true 5,000 years ago, and it will be true 10,000 years from now.
Find what is true, and hold on to it. It won't let you down.
God, thanks for giving us eternal truths.
