Today in the One Year Bible, we read about the demands for the offerings that the people of Israel had to give in Leviticus 22:17-23:44. They couldn't bring God their leftovers or their messed up food or animals - they had to bring their best to Him.
We should take this to heart. Not just what we give to God in the church, but how we take care of the poor. How we do our jobs at work (as unto the Lord). How we treat our family and friends.
Now, we're human. We're going to make mistakes. We're going to have bad days. But our GOAL should be to always bring God our best.
God, thanks for teaching us to always shoot for the best.
