you are not that important
Today in the One Year Bible, Paul tells us like it is in Galatians 6:1-18. He says that we should patiently help our brothers and sisters to come back to Jesus when they wander away from Him. And then he says, "If you think you're too important to help your brother, you are fooling yourself. You are not that important."
That brings to mind the quote in the picture above. Aslan reminds Caspian (and us) that we are of a value so great that we can't fathom it... but we're still miserable sinners who need His grace every day.
That's what it means to have humility. To realize that God prizes you above all else in the world... but that you screw up on a regular basis and need His help to even be a LITTLE good.
Be content.
God, thanks for teaching us humility.
