in agreement with God and one another
Today in the One Year Bible, we read from 2 Corinthians 8:16-24. Paul says that his friend is even more excited about working with the people of Corinth than Paul is.
And we see that, don't we? When we're doing what God calls us to, we find ourselves in agreement with other people who are doing what God wants. I mean, that makes sense. But it's often surprising and exhilarating when it happens. "You too?" we find ourselves thinking or asking.
I thought those were tacos in the picture above, and I readily agree with tacos. It turns out their sandwiches, which I also usually agree with. But food is something all of us humans have in common and can be a good starting place when looking for that common ground. Sometimes if we find common ground with those who aren't in the same place that we are in our relationship with God, it helps us get on the same page so we can share notes. And tacos.
God, thanks for giving us friends who share Your calling... and food to help bridge the gap with those who are on a different page.
