Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Ephesians 1:1-23. Paul tells us that God has given us "all wisdom and understanding". So why don't we seem to have all wisdom and understanding?
Well, like most of the gifts that God gives us, we have to receive them in order to experience them. He gives us forgiveness, love, joy and peace, too, remember? But is your life full of forgiveness, love, joy, and peace? If you're like me, the answer is "some days more than others."
So let's receive these gifts that He's giving us. Let's ask Him to fill our minds with wisdom, understanding, forgiveness, love, joy, peace, and all of the other fruits of the spirit. Let's set aside the things that pull us away from these gifts. And let's share these gifts with one another.
God, thanks for giving us such great gifts. Help us receive them.
