the truth about the resurrection
Today in the One Year Bible, Paul tells us the truth about the resurrection. He does this in 1 Corinthians 15:29-58.
He tells us in many different ways that we will, in fact, be resurrected from the dead. How empty and foolish life would be without this fact, right? Unless there is a bodily resurrection, the author of Ecclesiastes would be right: life would be vain, a chasing after the wind. But because we will one day be resurrected and judged for what we've done.... all justice and mercy will be revealed at the end of time.
So you can rest assured that you will not suffer in vain. The wicked won't get away with murder, as they seem to. The good will not go unrewarded... as they CERTAINLY seem to. All goodness will find its fulfillment... and all evil will be burned away.
And, above all, the love of God will make all things good... all manner of things good.
God, thanks for the beauty and the truth of the resurrection.
