how one star he saw had been lit for me
Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Romans 4:13-5:5. Paul tells us about Abraham's faith, and how God rewarded his faith by making him the father of pretty much all Christians today.
That's what God does with our faith. Even my tiny faith, and yours. He takes that little faith and grows it into something we can't even imagine. He takes our little mustard seed and the tree it produces is so huge that it fills the whole sky. Like the stars that Abraham saw, one of which was lit for you. Rich Mullins sang beautifully about Abraham and his stars and how they reflect on the millions of Christians today, including you and me.
So put your faith in Him. Let Him water it. And then see how it grows - and fills the sky with wonders.
God, thanks for using our tiny faith to do great things.
