Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Acts 9:26-43. Peter raises a woman named Tabitha from the dead! But of course, she then dies again eventually. So what was the point?
Well, a couple verse later we read, "The news spread throughout the whole town, and many believed in the Lord." This is the exact opposite of scandal - this is where news spreads that GROWS people's faith instead of damaging their faith.
This is why God performs miracles today, in our lives, too. To grow our faith. To help us "believe in the Lord." So that we will follow Him, and do His will in our lives: and become the best versions of ourselves.
God, please grow our faith.
