what to expect from the world

Today in the One Year Bible, Jesus warns us about our world in 2019. We read this in Luke 6:39-7:10. He says that when the blind lead the blind, they both fall into the ditch.

Our world today is full of those who are morally and spiritually blind, and they're trying to lead the rest of us. They're leading us toward the ditch.

It's important for those of us who are connected to Jesus to be loving and patient with these people. We need to be the bigger person, and not mock and ridicule them in an angry and deriding way. In doing so, we might bring them to the truth. But even if we don't, it's important that we treat them kindly. The strong need to take care of the weak, and even though the weak in this case might be powerful politically, they're still very weak in the important areas.

So be kind. Pray for them. Genuinely desire that they come to the truth.

You might just change the world that way.

God, thanks for teaching us to be kind to those who don't understand.
