Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Mark 4:26-5:20. Jesus is sleeping in the boat, and a huge storm comes up and threatens to sink them. Jesus wakes up and tells the storm to chill. The disciples are shocked, and terrified. They ask a question that we all have to answer.
"Who is this man?"
It's the biggest question in history. How we answer it will determine where we spend eternity. But it's not a one time answer thing.
We have to answer this question every day. Who is Jesus? Is He lord of my life? Or am I going to take control away from Him and do my own thing today? Am I going to do what He wants, which will help other people and bring me the deepest satisfaction and joy? Or am I going to be selfish, and do silly stupid things that hurt everyone, including myself?
You have the choice today: who is Jesus?
God, thanks for teaching us the right answer to who Jesus is. Help us to choose that answer every day.
