then He remembered me
Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Genesis 8:1-10:32. We read that after Noah had been in the ark for awhile, "God remembered Noah."
Does it sometimes feel like He has forgotten you? That you need to jog His memory? "Hey God, it's me, Margaret"? Don't worry - He hasn't forgotten you. He is, actually, closer to you than your very breath. There is nowhere you can go to escape from His presence. It might FEEL like He's far away... but He's actually standing so close to you that you can't see Him.
All you have to do.... is reach. When you begin to reach out, He will be waiting to receive you, lift you up, and take care of you. He's not slow in keeping His promises as some understand slowness to be. Keep reaching out to Him, keep trusting Him, keep loving Him - especially by loving His children. And you'll find Him.
He will never forget you. He loves you more than you can imagine.
God, thanks for "remembering" us... and for never forgetting us.
