bowl full of treasure in heaven
Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Revelation 5:1-14. There is quite a bit of imagery in this part of Revelation that bends our minds and makes us think of things we've never seen.
But one part is especially moving. We are told that there are bowls in heaven that are full of the "prayers of the saints." That's a treasure that will last for eternity. If you wonder what you can take with you when you die... besides your love and the people you care for... your prayers will be there waiting for you.
Kind of encourages you to pray more, doesn't it? I'm making a commitment when January gets here to pray the Rosary every day. Maybe you might think of making some kind of prayer commitment for the new year? Might be something to consider.
God, thanks for giving us a glimpse of heaven - and our prayers that You've collected there.
