how to grow your faith

Today in the One Year Bible, we read from Psalm 52:1-9. In this passage, the Psalmist says, "I will praise you forever, for what you have done."

That's how we can grow our faith. If you are struggling with what's happening in your life today, remember what He's done before. In YOUR life, if there are good stories of His faithfulness in your life. If not, think of the amazing things He did in the Bible. That's the point of all of those miracles - to show us who He is, so that our faith will grow and we can trust Him in the middle of what is happening in our lives now. He even told the Israelites to do certain things so THAT their children would ask, "Why do we do this?" And when they asked, their parents would teach them about God's faithfulness. In that way, the faith of the children would grow.

Remember what He's done. It will give you faith for today... and tomorrow.

God, thank You for Your faithfulness. Help us trust You.
