how much God loves you

We are reminded today in the One Year Bible how much God loves us. In Ephesians 3:1-21, Paul tells us that when Jesus takes up residence in our hearts, He begins to explain to us "how wide, how long, how high, and how deep" God's love is for us. It is literally beyond our ability to comprehend.

But HERE is a video that begins to help us understand. That little dog loves her puppies. She went down into a scary hole where she might have drowned to rescue them.

We were in a scary place, too. Some of us might still be in scary places. We might be drowning in the sins that either we chose in our foolishness, or that we found ourselves in through no fault of our own. But God cares about us so much that he came down into our muddy, filthy hole and pulled us out. He brought us back to life, breathing His breath into our lungs. Filling us with His spirit.

He did this for you, and He'll do it again. As many times as He needs to, to make sure you're safe. To make sure you know just how much He loves you.

God, thank You for coming down into our scary places and saving us. Time and again.
