how families save the world

Today in the One Year Bible, we read from 1 Corinthians 7:1-24. In this passage, we read MORE about how families save people.

We talked in an earlier blog about how children often hear their conscience in the voice of one of their parents. And that parents often come back to the church and try to live better lives because they want their children to have good lives.

But Paul tells us that it doesn't stop there. Women who are believers can bring salvation to their family, and to their unbelieving spouse, through their faith and their example. And Christian men can do the same for their nonChristian wives. How many times have you heard a story of someone becoming a Christian, or becoming more serious about their faith, due to their spouse?

God gave us the institution of marriage, and part of its purpose is to bring people back to Him. Let's work together with God and families to help that happen.

God, thank You for giving us families to save the world. Help us defend them against the evil one.
