there is still more room

Today in the One Year Bible we read from Luke 14:7-35. Jesus tells us many things about the Kingdom of Heaven. But the thing that really stood out to me was when they're inviting everyone from the town, and the servant says, "There's still plenty of room!"

It reminds me of when Jesus told His disciples that the harvest was ripe, but there were few laborers to harvest it. So He told them to pray that God would send out more workers into the field. There's still plenty of room in the Kingdom. And there are plenty of people in the world who need to hear about the good news of eternal life.

Let's pray that God sends out more workers. Maybe including us?

God, thanks for making so much room in Your kingdom. Please help us fill it.
