Today, on Easter Sunday, we read from Luke 9:28-50 in the One Year Bible. Jesus and three of His disciples are on the Mount of Transfiguration. God appears to them and says to listen to Jesus. That's good advice (go figure) and Jesus demonstrates how worthy He is of our attention by rising from the dead on the day that we celebrate today.
So what is He telling you? Well, there are a few things that you know He's telling all of us. Love each other. Love God. Forgive each other when we do things wrong. Be kind and generous.
But He's also telling YOU something in particular. What do you suppose it is? Probably something to do with the gifts He's given you. Do you know what they are? Consider taking some time today to sit (or walk, or lie down) quietly and listen. Ask Him to show you what He wants you to do. I'm pretty sure that's a prayer He'll answer. He wants you to know His will... and He wants to help you to do it. Just ask, and listen. You might be surprised what you find out.
