running from responsibilities
I'll be recording today's readings tomorrow, because I have a massive headache tonight and I don't want the recording value to suffer.
But the reading today shows us Moses, one of the most famous characters in the entire Bible, who was largely responsible for the teachings of two major religions, making excuses. His confidence was shot. And who hasn't been there?
When we've suffered a severe disappointment, and things have majorly NOT gone our way in life, we can lose confidence. We can feel like nothing we do is right. That no one will listen to us. That we're weak and ineffectual and lame. And the truth is, without God, that's exactly what we are!
But. With God all things are possible. That's why it's good for us to go through those valleys. To learn that by ourselves, we can do nothing. But with Him, we can do anything.
God, please fill us with confidence - in You.
