Today in A Year with the Church Fathers, St Basil talks to us about generosity. He writes about a certain local governor who was known for being altruistic. He appeals to him on behalf of his reputation for helping others, and asks him to help some missionaries who were in need.

Pictured above is Bill Murray. He is the coolest person on the planet, in case you haven't heard. He's known for being extremely generous, not just with his money, but with his time and attention and energy. He crashes birthday parties where he doesn't even know the people, and then washes their dishes. He sings karaoke at random restaurants. He is famous for being a really odd, loving, lovable man.
