the great dance

Lewis tells us about the great dance today in A Year with C.S. Lewis.

He says that God is calling us into the dance... a dance in which we hold everything loosely, knowing that at any moment it might be replaced with something even greater. A dance in which we're taught to live with our hands open, that He might take and give and take and give... filling our hearts with joy at every taking and giving.

So let's wave goodbye to 2016 as it passes away behind us. And let's cast ourselves into the arms of the great Dancer, and with open hearts receive the joys He has waiting for us in this new year.
