Today we read the February 5 selection
from A Year with C.S. Lewis.
Lewis today talks about the love that
is found in the Trinity. He tells us that Christianity is unique
among the religions of the world because it expresses the love that
God has within the Trinity, which has been going on for eternity.
This tells us something profound about
God. He has been loving, and will be loving, longer than we can
conceive. He was love before the world began, and will be love after
time is no more.
So the next time you're struggling to
experience love – when you feel distance from God and need Him in
your life – remember that He knows what love is. He is what love
means. And He will bring Himself, the ultimate manifestation of love,
into your life when you ask Him to.
That's what He wants more than anything
else in the world. To love you.
God, thank You for being what love
means.

He is always waiting for us to just ask Him. If we are sad or lonely He is waiting.
