today's readings: Judges 2:10-3:31, Luke 22:14-34, Psalms 92:1-93:5, Proverbs 14:1-2
Jesus talks today about the Kingdom of God. He says He won't eat or drink again until He does so in the Kingdom.
i'm currently reading Jesus of Nazareth by Pope Benedict XVI. it's really good. and one thing he says is that there are several accepted meanings of the Kingdom of God. Jesus uses the expression over 90 times, and the church sees it in three ways:
the Kingdom of God is Jesus Himself. He IS the Kingdom of God, and wherever He is, there is His Kingdom.
the Kingdom of God is the community of believers, wherever they're found. it is in the hearts and souls of the faithful.
the Kingdom of God is the Church.
and we're also instructed to pray that His Kingdom will come, and His will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. which is a great prayer to pray every day (maybe that's why He included it in the Lord's Prayer). but it also shows that the Kingdom of God isn't just Heaven itself, because that would make the Lord's Prayer nonsensical.
God, I pray that your Kingdom will come, and your will be done, on Earth, and in my life, as it is in Heaven.

Thank you Jeff. God, I pray your Kingdom will come, and your will be done, on Earth and in my life, as it is in Heaven. All around us are signs happening ( in my humble opinion) that the time is drawing near. Weather, signs in the skies, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, savage behavior, hatred, and persecution of Christ's people. Will you denounce Christ to save your life? Something we may all be asked sooner than we think. Lord God Jesus Christ create in me daily a clean heart.
