He Is Risen: One Year Bible Reading for April 17

 Today we read from these verses in the One Year Bible:

Joshua 15:1-63
Luke 18:18-43
Psalm 86:1-17
Proverbs 13:9-10

And we HAVE to look at Luke today because Jesus tells His disciples "On the third day, He (Jesus) will rise again."

That's the whole point of Christianity. If you are a Christian, you know this - the resurrection of Jesus is why we are all followers of Jesus. If you aren't a Christian and just stumbled on this blog or Tiktok, this is good for you to know. You've heard of the "gospel"? This is it. Gospel means "good news", and this is the good news. Jesus died, but three days later He defeated death and rose again to live forever. 

And you and I can do the same thing. If we believe in Him (and therefore do what He says), we will also rise again after we're dead and live with Him forever. Death is not the end.

He is risen.

God, thank You for rising from the dead so that we can too.
