Blessed Celine Chludzinska: Overcoming Obstacles

Today we honor Blessed Celine Chludzinska Borzecka, about whom we read in the book In Caelo et in Terra. She was called to religious life, but was obedient when her parents directed her to marry. After her husband died, she again sought religious life. She met many obstacles on the way to becoming a religious sister, but she persevered. After many years, she was finally allowed to join and served faithfully for the rest of her life. You can read more about her here.

When we follow Jesus, we are GOING to face obstacles. In this world, we will have troubles. But take heart: he has overcome the world. Blessed Celine would often tell people, "Be saints!" Good advice today as well as in her lifetime.
