Today we read from Matthew 12:22-45 in the One Year Bible. Jesus tells us very clearly "The Kingdom of Heaven has arrived among you." What then is this kingdom of heaven?
Well, it's the new covenant. It's what Jesus taught us. Baptism, the Eucharist, forgiveness of sins. He gives us the church.
And He promises that the gates of hell won't prevail against it. We can rest in that truth. We can trust in what God has given us.
God, thanks for bringing us the Kingdom of Heaven, and that we can trust in You and in it.
