what is truth?

Lewis talks about questions we ask God today in A Year with C.S. Lewis.

He says that we ask questions that are probably answered with "What is that to you? Follow Me." And that seems to be avoiding or skirting the question. But when you stop and really ponder it... it's answering the question. The answer is Himself.

Just like when Pilate asked Jesus "What is truth?" Jesus said nothing... because He Himself was the answer, standing before Pilate. But Pilate's vision was too small to realize the answer was right in front of him.

The answer is right in front of you, too, my friend, reading this. Jesus is here, in your midst, in your life. And all of those questions that we ask... why do we suffer? Why did my loved one have to die? What is the meaning of all of this??

He is standing there, right in front of you, not answering your question. But BEING the answer to your question. In Him, everything makes sense. In Him, we find ultimate meaning.

In Him, all things are well, and all things are well, and all manner of things are well.

God, thank You for being the answer to our many questions.
