you are precious to God

Today's readings: Daniel 9:1-11:1, 1 John 2:18-3:6, Psalm 121:1-8, Proverbs 28:27-28

There are plenty of reasons to be afraid today. ISIS continues to kill people, especially Christians. and as if that weren't enough, we have shootings on a regular basis here in our country. it seems the world has gone crazy.

But God reminds us. Don't be afraid. Why? Because we'll be safe and nothing will ever happen to us? No... we're all going to die eventually. That's part of what it means to be human.

But we shouldn't be afraid because we are precious to God. Both the OT and NT readings today tell us not to be afraid. He cares about you very much. He will take care of you. In this world, you will have troubles.

But take heart. He has overcome the world.

Thank You for reminding us to trust You, God.
