We're told several times in today's reading that God looks after the humble, but resists the proud. Most of us find ourselves being humble out of necessity. Depending on Him for our daily happiness and livelihood helps us stay humble. But if we do find ourselves being proud... all we have to do is ask, and He'll teach us the way of humility. And if we ask, He's less likely to use humiliation to humble us. ;)
God, please help me be humble, so I can be close to You.
