who's at work?

Today's readings: Jeremiah 22:1-23:20, 2 Thess 1:1-12, Psalm 83:1-18, Prov 25:11-14

So don't get me wrong. Are you getting me wrong? Well don't! I'm not saying it's easy. I'm not saying you don't have to do anything. I'm not saying it won't stretch you. And I'm not even saying it won't cost you your life eventually.

But here is what I AM saying.... "We keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do."

Wow. Did you get all that?? For every one little tiny thing that we do, in obedience to God, look what  He does for us in return. First, the Christians are praying for us. "We KEEP ON PRAYING for you..." yes, this meant the Christians at Thessalonica. But just think about all of the people throughout time who HAVE prayed for you, and all of the people throughout time (even in the future) who WILL pray for you! Pretty amazing. So the children of God KEEP ON PRAYING for you....

so that God WILL ENABLE YOU to live a life worthy of his call. Now His call is something pretty amazing, right? God only calls us to amazing things. He made YOU for an amazing thing. And He will ENABLE you to do it. But wait... there's more!

He will give you the POWER to accomplish all of the good things that YOUR FAITH prompts you to do.

So... think about it. People are praying (continuously) for you... to be ENABLED... to have the POWER ... to do the things that God Himself tells you to do through your faith.

All you have to do.... is say yes.

Say yes to Him today, and see what happens.

Thank You, God, for being at work in such an amazing way in my life.
