a bounty

Today's readings: Isaiah 33:10-36:22, Galatians 5:13-26, Psalm 64:1-10, Proverbs 23:23

Two great things in Galatians today. One is Paul reiterating the greatest commandment. He makes it very clear (in case it's still unclear after Jesus said it) :) when he says "The whole law can be summed up in this one command: Love your neighbor as yourself."

How do we do that? Well, he goes on to say a few verses later... "The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."

Do you find these things in your life? If so, awesome! Be sure to share them with everyone in your life. They're fruits to be shared, not like a fruitcake. ;)

If you find one of these is missing in your life... guess what you should do? If you've read my blog for any time, you can probably guess that I'm gonna say ... pray for it. Ask God to indwell you with His Holy Spirit. And in doing so, He will fill your life with these fruits. Which are pretty tasty.

Thank You, God, for your Spirit in our lives, and for the wonderful fruit that Your Spirit produces in us.
