Mr Robot - functioning sociopath

I've started watching Mr. Robot on the advice of a good friend with great taste in books and movies.

It's well done. Good acting. Good premise. The writing is snappy but not TOO snappy (like The Crazy Ones with Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar, which was genius but the dialog was SO snappy and fast and smart that you had to watch a scene three times to get it all).

But the overarching theme has a very Fight Club mentality. Anti-society, anti-government, anti-corporation, anti-"the man". The main character hates alot. He hates his best friend's boyfriend. He hates the big corporation that is sort of the show's version of Apple. And, worst of all I think, he hates society. This literally makes him a sociopath.

I'm interested to see where the show goes. But I feel like it can only do so much, say so much when the underlying theme is a juvenile, deep seated hate of modern life. Will it end in destruction, like Fight Club did? We'll see.

What are your thoughts on this show? How do you feel about hate as a driving force? Can a hero be a functioning sociopath? Feel free to comment below, or on my fb page or G+ page where I posted this. Or email me at jeff.reedy@gmail.com. I wanna know what YOU think.
