devotional for 4/17

Today’s readings: Joshua 15:1-63, Luke 18:18-43, Psalm 86:1-17, Proverbs 13:9-10

In today’s reading, one big thing jumped out at me. When the blind man in Jericho heard that Jesus was passing by, he cried out to Him. They told him to be quiet, but he didn’t listen. He had nothing to lose. He kept asking Jesus to have mercy on him. Here’s the big moment: Jesus asks “what do you want Me to do for you?”
He could have asked for anything. Being a blind man, he would logically ask for his sight.
What would you ask for?

God, please give me wisdom to ask for the right thing every day, since You are always listening.
