letting go

today's readings: Exodus 30:11-31:18, Matt 26:47-68, Psalm 32:1-11, Prov 8:27-32

we see ample reason that we NEED forgiveness in today's readings... the disciples all abandon Jesus, the Pharisees accuse Him wrongly and spit on Him, beating Him with their fists...

but God is good. He forgives us. He knows that we know not what we do.

the Psalm is wonderful today. it is all about how good it is to be forgiven.

there is nothing new under the sun. we all sin, from the very first man to the very last one. everyone does stupid things. and God knows we will, and He forgives us when we ask Him to.

when we hold on to our sin, we waste away, like the Psalm says. but oh the joy that comes into our lives, oh the wonderful directions He takes our lives, when we just let go of the sin, confess it and repent of it, and let Him have our lives again.

please keep bringing me back, Lord, every time I'm stupid and wander off...

Very exciting reading today as it shows Gods love is beyond any humans capability but not beyond our need or desire to be loved.
