today we read about some hard hearts. God hardens Pharaoh's heart so He can show everyone, the Egyptians and the Hebrews, that He is God - so they will believe in Him.
in the NT reading, the man who owes a great debt hardens his heart against someone who owes him a small debt.
and we read Psalm 23.
even though we walk through the shadow of death, we pray that He will keep our hearts broken. as long as we don't harden our hearts, everything that happens to us will bring us closer to Him... and make us better people.
