burning bush

today's readings: Exodus 2:11 - 3:22, Matt 17:10-27, Psalm 22:1-8, Prov 5:7-14

while protecting his fellow Hebrew was admirable, killing the Egyptian proved to be a bad idea. but once again, we see a Biblical guy finding his wife by hanging out at a well. I need to find the local watering hole... ;)

Moses finds God at the burning bush. He tells him that He is. the eternal present. He always has been, always will be. He is the ground of our being. when you dig down far enough, past all of the darkness and evil, you find God under it all. and God is good. so when you think you've gotten to the bottom, if it's still dark... keep digging.

God is down there.

so much amazing theology in one word. YHWH.

well, well, well. One of my favorite OT People. Moses. He gets frustrated with humans, but then he turns around and does something very wrong. Much like all of us.
